You must be prepared for the possibility that you will not be able to operate a 9 to 5 business all of the time. While you are developing your business, you will probably find that you are working 12 to 16 hours a day but that will slow down after you have everything in place.
The most important thing you need to do when preparing your home for business operations is having all of your legal and tax information completed. Although you may not need to file taxes until you start making money. You may want to have everything in place from the beginning. You also want to have an account, attorney and tax advisor either on retainer or available for any questions you have or any forms or other business related issues that you need prepared. Remember, once your business begins making a profit, you will not have the time to start looking for the professionals to help you, so its important to include that in your pre operational preparations.
